Breaking Bad: Season 3 (TV Review)

With Breaking Bad over, I've decided to go over all the seasons of the acclaimed TV series. (Spoilers for first two seasons.)

Breaking Bad, Season Three:
After the horrific plane collision at the conclusion of the second season, the entire Albuquerque community is in shock. Jesse finishes up rehab but continues to go to support meetings. Walt continues his work with Gustavo Fring, a local drug kingpin and fast food chain owner who poses as a model citizen. Gus gives him an interesting offer: to continue cooking meth in an expensive, high-tech "superlab". Skyler, meanwhile, tries to find a legitimate job and deals with marriage troubles after learning Walt's secret. Hank investigates the "Heisenberg" case further and The White Family continues to work with sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman. Jesse begins seeing a woman named Andrea from his support meeting, and Walt is introduced to Gale, a quirky but kind and highly intelligent man, who is to serve as his new meth partner. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, RJ Mitte, Betsy Brandt, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada, Charles Baker, Rodney Rush, Mark Margolis, Carmen Serano, Krysten Ritter, John de Lancie, Matt L. Jones, Marius Stan, and Christopher Cousins all return from the previous season. Esposito and Banks play Gustavo Fring and his employee Mike Ehrmantraut. Esposito and Banks both do a great job, and they play kind of villainous characters, but I kind of liked them for the most part. Both actors also get much larger roles this time around.  Newcomers include Daniel and Luis Moncada, Jeremiah Bitsui, David Costable, and Jere Burns. They all do a fantastic job, especially the Moncada brothers, who play creepy and threatening villains known as "The Cousins". This season has more thrilling moments and dark storylines than the previous, and it's definitely one of the best of the series. Breaking Bad: Season 3 is compelling, addictively good, witty, and highly entertaining. 5/5 stars.
